Description
Jess Franco has made some curious exploitation movies in his long and productive career, and “Love Camp” is one of his craziest. The title of this film seems to be deliberately reminiscent of the legendary ploitation slime festival “Love Camp 7,” and the plot is reminiscent of “Salo” in a way, but with a surprising twist. The surprising twist is that we are not talking about is, but of revolutionaries. A group of young and beautiful women are kidnapped, taken to the jungle, and forced to be sex slaves for “the revolution.” The conductor is a sadistic lesbian and generally behaves throughout like Ilsa from other films. “Love Camp” is not as explicitly violent as most of the films mentioned before, and Franco seems more interested in showing much skin than and blood.
