Description

Serial sex offender and child killer Federico is injured by the police and struggles to the gardens of depressed and oversexed Vera, her wheelchair bound miserable old sod of a husband and their child, Simona.

Simona discovers the fugitive and helps to hide him from the police and get him patched up from his injuries, starting a shocking relationship. Vera soon finds out about the man, and uses him for her own needs, leading to an escalation of mistrust, hatred, over exposure and worse.

Massimo Pirri’s L’immoralità is a film that perfectly illustrates the lengths to which certain 70s Italian film makers would go to make a name for themselves, and while the technicalities of the production are solid enough it’s impossible to talk about the film without mentioning the on-screen portrayal of Karin Trentephol’s ‘Simona’, at only 12 years old.
