Serena: An Adult Fairy Tale, made in 1980 during the waning days of theatrical porno chic. It probably isn’t much of a stretch to assume this dirty do-over of “Cinderella” was inspired by 7 into Snowy, David F. Friedman’s hardcore spin on “Snow White” made two years earlier. This one doesn’t even come close to that classic thanks to what looks like a very rushed (and cheap) production and weird pacing, but it’s a modest amusement with a game cast if you’re in the right frame of mind. Sex goddess Serena (billed as “Her Serene Highness the Princess Serena”) stars as Cindy, a poor young thing sold off to work as the domestic slave (both sexual and otherwise) for a wicked dominatrix stepmother. She gets distracted from her chores by all the kinky shenanigans at home, some of which include her participation, and she even takes time out for a shower room tryst with three naked “stepsisters” for good measure. Then there’s the prince (Thomas), an apparent nudist throwing a sex party soon, and poor Cindy’s the only one who can’t go because she has to do her chores. Fortunately she has a perverse, Asian fairy godmother (Leigh, who also narrates) who… well, you can fill in the blanks from there.
